Husband in another country. Staying alone in a house. I’m leaving to the airport before night. Afraid to leave chanuka lights in empty house. What do I do?
Answer:
One cannot light the candles with intention of extinguishing them before nightfall.
Perhaps you can light the candles in a glass container?
You don’t actually need to use a Menorah, and if there’s no choice even one candle is sufficient to perform the basic mitzvah, and to recite the berachos.
