Paying Taxi Fare

I told the dispatcher of a cab driver I was going to my home – when I got in the cab I didn’t say anything – then near the end I said drop me off before my house. It turned out it was a lesser fare where I asked him to drop me off – it was before the highway – when passing the highway the fare goes up – am I responsible for the whole fare?

Answer:

No, you only need to pay for the journey.

The conversation with the dispatcher does not involve placing a specific order, but only giving an indication of the journey.

The price you have to pay depends on the actual journey, which doesn’t have to be an exact reflection of what you told the dispatcher.

Best wishes.
