Certainly, a birthday, and the more so such a momentous birthday as the 70th, is a special time for thanks and for prayer.
It is a time to contemplate the past, to work on the present and to plan for the future.
Take some time off for thinking about your life and your plans for the future, for thanking Hashem for what you have, and for asking Him to accompany you as a part of your life for the future.
Aside from the regular prayers you can say some extra chapters of Tehillim (Psalms). You can also perhaps find some special mitzvos to perform, such as helping others in some special way or giving a special donation to charity.
