Can someone wash an older persons under garments or clothes during the 9 days just like a child’s?
Answer:
If the older person is not in control of his eating etc. so that his clothes get soiled the whole time, then one can be lenient in the same way as for a child.
Such a person will have the status of a “choleh” for purposes of this halachah.
