The Words Shalom and Shlichut

What does Shalom vs Shlichut mean?

Answer:

Shalom means peace, and is derived from the word Shalem, which means complete. This is one of God’s names (for true completion is only attained by means of connection with God), and is also a word that is used in Hebrew as a greeting (for it expresses that I am only complete together with the other person), when meeting or parting from someone (instead of the words hello and good-bye).

Shlichut means mission and is often used when describing traveling to a new place in order to strengthen the Jewish community.
